Maruti 800 and Maruti swift

everybody is saying Maruti 800 and Maruti swift is giving 14&15 on on city and 19 & 17 on highway. I think these statments made in order to attract the people only. My openion the accessories used now with all he latest cars like A/C poer window and MPFI systems all eating away the fuel.Can any one prove on this and take it as a challenge.
