No doubt , this spark is the most stylish in its class… Its very hard to predict the performance of a car unless it hits the road . With the specifications on their website , it seems to be a fuel efficient + better control + security enhanced one. Also if you are planning to buy a car in the class of santro , zen , indica etc please wait till July……

diesel version

well am sorry to hear that the maruti people aren’t coming out with the diesel version of this magnificient piece of metal. i would have love to buy this car, preferably in diesel but now if that’s not happening then i’ll go in for the petrol one! but buy i must, because this car is really amazing!

i have seen all you comments quite considerable, i have liked some features which are wort making this buy:
1 good dash board anti reflective and sturdy like looks of foard
2 AC vents designed like foard
3 comforatble design of inner space
4 smooth drive and supportive brakes
5 safter features i give 5 out of 10
6 lesser jerks as compared to any maruti brand
7 enjoyed it even better tah latest sx4
8 avaliable in cool vibrant colours
dislikes
lesser trunk space
engine very small
seat hight should be adjustable
again every feature cost thus car is avaliable in 4 variants

u cannot compare spark with swift…spark can be compared with wagnor,zen and santro….where as swift should be compared with getz,palio&fusion…in our country…cars are bought lookin at their fuel efficiency first,,thn..cost,maintence cost,durability,suspension,comfort,interiors,space,engine and the resale value ofcourse.if the new matiz under the new name of chevrolt-spark is able to beat its rivals…particularly santro and wagnaor….thn it is goin to be class leading in its class…the small car segment.right now people are waitin to see wat kind of fuel efficiency would this car deliver…spark’s fate depends on its mileage,particularly, now.lets see hw d car performs…i m planning to buy it for my dad…d green one…

i own a 1999 matiz it is been very good to us the pleasure of driving it is not mentionable i am very much attracted towards the new spark but GM
has spoiled the looks of old matiz and improved the engine but i do not agree that old matiz is good from swift because swift has new technology and better features but lacks that drivin pleasure of matiz

Please do not buy Spark. I have bought and have realized that there Dealers are pathetic. They do not have qualified dealers. It seems like they have offered Dealerships to those who used to run Mom&Pop Stores. There dealers are fraud. They charge for Handling charges worth 2800/- over and above Ex-showroom price, Insurance, MCD Parking, Smart Card. But they do not offer any service for this money. Infact they keep waiting the customer for more than a Week for Registration. When you try to approach General Motors, and leave complaint nobody from General Motors repies. Management of GM seems to be very proud of Spark but they are blind to their dealer network specially those in Delhi as I bought this cars from their dealer in Central Delhi called TRIUMPH MOTORS. My suggestion to everyone, even if other Car companies are offering their cars they are very customer-centric. GM is sleeping over it’s pathetic network. Do not buy any GM product. I am suffering. They have fooled me and now I do not want rest of the other valuable customers to be fooled.
Also they do not have spares with their dealer called Triumph Motors. Triumph Motors is located is central Delhi, so any one would trust and go their to make purchase. But, they are not at all Customer-centric. I can assure you, once you would have bought your car from Triumph Motors, they would not even attend your calls for any support.
Also, they do not have any accesories. Basic accessories like Gear Lock etc are not available and customer is always prone to theft as he is not able to secure his car.
Please be cautious and evaluate before you buy as General Motors Management does not listen to any complaints. Neither do they react. Customer has turned out to be a fool, the way they are managing.

I think we are over estimating the Sparks performance

I think we are over estimating the Sparks performance… And i read some dude telling the Japs have been copying the designs of Americans… Toyota is the world leader for the first time in years… that is simply because of the kind of cars that the Japs have been comming out with each year every year…
ALl i can say is the car looks good… more so its the service and the pricing that matters to the indian consumers… And Japs are tthe once ahead of the race…
GM.. you guys have got to wakeup…

Car for DISABLED

Car for DISABLED ?????????? A DREAM, which can only become true if Corporate sectors especially TATA can take interest & modify their INDICA for it. The Zen is too costly to be purchased by Majority of the disabled groups (80 %). Either again MARUTI 800 should be allowed by govt. to be designed for disabled. Otherwise no hearing for DISABLED by DEAF & DUMP & offcourse BLIND Govt.
